Couples Beginner Salsa Series

Couples only GROUP Salsa Classes are back! Join our weekly beginners salsa group class beginning My 6th 7:30pm-9pm. 

Here is what to expect: This is a monthly class commintment so you can learn the basics of salsa and take it out on the dance floor and destination weddings. We do not switch partners at Love Dance HTX-we believe you should learn to dance with your special person! These salsa date night classes are BYOB and FUN taught by Love Dance HTX owner Lisa Joubert. Mood lighting is set for date night and will make learning more relaxed instead of feeling exposed. Everyone is a beginner! This is a curriculum class so registration for the month is required. Don't worry-if you miss a class you can book a 25 minute review private lesson if you want a little extra help catching up ($45) or a full hour lesson ($95). At the end of each class we will allow you to record the new moves introduced each class. This is a group class-we will cap off at 20 couples at this time. Private instruction available for those more comfortable with more social distancing. Zoom classes not available at this time.

Check in: 7:15pm-7:25pm-register and liquid courage welcome. If you do not pre register you must come in to register no later than 7:15pm. Class begins at 7:30pm followed by social practice from 8:30pm-9pm. What is social practice? From 8:30pm-9pm we will play music and allow you to practice your new moves to music and continue to enjoy your wine/beer and date night.

What to wear: Date night vibe, casual attire. Thick treads on tennis shoes will make it more difficult to spin and something with a smoother sole is more desirable. 

What to Bring: Your partner (no singles for this class), beer, wine, water. Don't forget cups and wine opener!

I have out of town guests, can they come? Are drop ins allowed? If you have out of town guests and want to bring them with you our drop in rate is $50 per couple. We will also continue with the curriculum and cannot spend a lot of time reviewing for new people. You CAN share a private lesson ($95) with another couple or book a private group class for up to 10 couples ($300). Email Lisa for details and options. We recommend scheduling 3-4 weeks in advance.
